My computer is running with Windows 8 operating system. It has been running well. Recently, the CD driver of mine has been out of service. So I asked my friend's for a SAMSUNG DVD driver. And I installed it successfully. But it is not a plain sailing. When I booted the computer after the installation, the computer worked rather slowly, even not run sometimes. I can not stand it so that I uninstall the dirver, then the machine can work normally. If I reinstall it, the computer will once again become a snail. So I often joke that I' m the enemy of the DVD driver.

Is there any solution?

If it's a single core computer then you can expect some slow down when doing more than one thing anyway.

Otherwise is your DVD on the same channel as your HDD?

Finally it could be some kind of on-access anti-virus protection kicking in and slowing things down.
