Default LifeCam could not record your photo, audio clip, or video clip

I installed LifeCam Cinema in my windows 8. When I plugged in the cam, and noticed drivers installed. I tested it by opening up the LifeCam software that installed. It shows the options to take photo, audio capture, or video. Either option brings up straight away the error" LifeCam could not record your, photo, audio clip, or video clip"

Device manager shows the driver installed correctly. Even swapping USB ports it shows in the software no camera detected, one the driver is re-installed when swapping ports, it comes up with the 3 options mentioned before, and again the same error message.

    Any ideas?
