Default Dell inspiron 1525 doesn't recognize it's keyboard and mouse pad

I have a Dell inspiron 1525 running with Windows 7 Uti and it is three years old. Last week I just installed Windows 8 on it, everything goes well except for the keyboard and mouse pad. My laptop can't recognize it's keyboard and mouse pad. I also had a wireless mouse and keyboard that worked with it no problem. But just out of no where, the keyboards don't work and only the wireless mouse. Which is useless because I can't type anything nor get online. help please.
    Thanks a lot.

Hi JustinS, welcome to this Windows 8 Forums.

This also could be a problem with this early beta release of Win 8 CP. The next beta, Win 8 RP will be out on June 1st (rumored). Since this next beta will require a clean install, this may solve your problems.

I suppose there could be updated drivers for the wireless keyboard/mouse available, or perhaps the Win 7 drivers will work.

The rumor is that Win 8 RP will be out on Friday, so it may not be worth the trouble to fix this. A clean install is required. Download the iso file when available, burn it to DVD and reboot to the DVD to install Win 8 RP.

    Correction:

It's Not the Dell computer that doesn't recognize it's keyboard and mouse.....it's Windows 8.
Dell has long had a bad habit, of installing hardware in their laptops that requires Proprietary Drivers.
If you don't have their special driver, you're just S.O.L. Eh?

Go back to your original OS, if you can.

Win-8 is NOT for every computer. That's being proven over and over again.

    Good Luck,
