Same for me Drew, both on my desktop & notebook. Just the built in wi-fi (Atheros) doesn't work on RP, funny thing it did on CP/DP.
One other thing, on my notebook, somehow or the other, my USB3 drivers don't work as they should (Win 7 x64), even with the latest drivers. They're Renesas (NEC) drivers. I can plug in a portable HDD, which requires 2 ports, it makes the sound like it's trying to install/kick in constantly, but never does. But USB Flash drives/other accessories works fine, just that my single USB3 Flash drive is hardly any faster than my USB2 ones.
Then, when I installed 8 RP onto my notebook, this issue was fixed altogether. USB3 was ultra fast, my portable HDD (made from a BYTECC enclosure & the stock HDD) ran like a champ. The USB3 driver that was given it was:
Renesas USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0096 (Microsoft)
Now, if a beta OS can pick these things up perfectly, then why doesn't the stock OS do the same? This is an ongoing issue on the MSI forum, hopefully there will soon be a solution for it not working properly on Win 7.
Also, the notebook met all of the requirements for Hyper-V, my desktop is missing one thing to run it, something about not having SLAT capabilities.
But there were other things that weren't quite ready yet, some of the OEM functions (the FN + F key specialized functions). I still have plenty of time to decide, if MSI doesn't get this USB3 deal right, I may install Win 8 onto my notebook also, or possibly instead of my desktop. My intentions are to get a new desktop after Win 9 is released.
The notebook is far more powerful & with enhanced USB3 capabilities + Hyper-V, I can do a lot more with it than my desktop. I like to run VM's, as I understand, the Hyper-V is supposed to be better than the free offerings on the market today (VirtualBox & VMWare Player). It's supposed to be competition to VMWare Workstation, a commercial product.
I'll probably end up installing Win 8 Pro on both. That way, my notebook can live up to it's potential also (as I described above). No need to waste good hardware with an OS that can't even take advantage of it.
