If you absulutely can't live without Start Orb perhaps this will help
If you are the type that absolutely can't live without the Start Orb then perhaps Classic Shell has an answer for you. I have not tried this so I can not attest to whether it works or not. Try it at your own risk. As with any new app, make a full Image before trying this.
I do not miss the Start Orb so I will not be trying it. But who knows perhaps it will help someone else out there.

Hi Ted, thanks for sharing but I am loving the new version so much.

I have to say, after using Classic Shell for a couple od weeks it feels very comfortable. I do not use it for apps, for that I use my Shortcuts Toolbar just as in Win 7. For Shutdown and Restart, again I use my shortcuts I created and pinned to the QL toolbar. But for many other functions, Search, Settings (including Control Panel), Documents and Favorites, I am just too comfortable with this setup. I also like the placement of Windows Update right at the top.

I installed it, looks nice but I'm in dilema if I use it regularly.
