I have been experiencing the BSOD problem for quite a long time since I reformated my pc.
at very beginning, the BSOD problem occured every two weeks. but now it strikes twice, within one hour for I've uninstalled media player classic and installed media playyer classic homecinema. and the BSOD code was 0x0000004e.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? any help would be great appreciated.

you might try a repair install or make sure your pc have installed the latest drivers. just visit your pc brand official web site and get help from there.

It is because your windows has invalid or obsolete items. You need to remove them. I use Registry Cleaner for this purpose.
