    Default My PC won't boot

Just after having installed Windows 8 on my Asus N56vz and having verified that the basic applications such as Explorer and the Menu worked, I tried to reboot my PC. It shut down, then tried to boot. I got the Asus logo with the spiral spinning under it, but then it disapperead and I only got a black screen, alternatively brightened then unbrightened and so on. I hit the power button, and it went in standby mode. I hit it again, and then finally I was able to enter my password and to navigate in the menu, explorer and everything. Relieved, I tried to reboot it once more to see if it worked. The same problem occured. Except that when I tried the standby mode solution, it didn't work. When it quit the standby mode,it was stuck with the black screen continuously brightening then unbrightening.
I shut it down by maintaining the power button. But I don't know what to do. Please help!

Thank you for taking time to answer me, I'm desperate...

PS: sorry for the spelling, my english is not good

    Hi Touch,

Thanks for posting on Windows 8 Forum.

This should be driver issue. Its better to provide detailed specs.

I tried to boot it recently, the "automatic fix" message appeared. I had the possiblity to actualize my pc or reinitialize it. Except that when I tried these options, it failed. Somehow the pc wasn't able to reinitialize itself...
I brought it to a specific shop which repairs computers, I've just received an email notifying me that my pc was ready.
Thank you for taking the time to answer me.

    Regards,

    Touch

Have fun handing over your hard earned cash for fixing something a Custom (Clean) Install would have fixed in about 5 hours.

Sounds like there may have been hardware issues.

I would be very surprised if the "tech" did more than install Win 8 in the proper manner. For the OP please let us know what the "tech" did to the PC. I am interested on what the fix was.
