Hi all,

I installed the Windows 8 CP. Now I am downloading updated display drivers from the nVidia website and I just get a black screen when trying to boot. During the driver install process, the screen went black. I waited a few minutes then restarted the computer. I can see the fish logo as Windows boots, but then the screen just goes black again and I can't do anything.

How can I resolve the issue?

First off, you need to install Windows 8 RP. CP was released almost 4 months ago, & RP is a huge improvement over CP. Get it here.

Too, it's not usually necessary to add 3rd party drivers unless absolutely necessary (like if you have poor graphics). MS has tested the provided drivers, & most have had no issues with graphics. Don't fix what isn't broken.

Try Win 8 RP & see what you think.

In fact, I was trying to avoid re-installing. But it seems thats the only way. Thanks for help.
