    Default Black screen

    Hello there,

Normaly my windows 8 should start up in 14-20sec depending on my startup programs.
But lately im getting a black screen after windows logo.
    >power button
    >windows logo loading
    >blackscreen
    >waiting 10 sec
    >windows login screen
    >waiting for load
    >done

That is how it's starting up and taking about 30-40sec
Im not heaving junk files or tons of shit on my laptop.
Just 2 games, office appilications, just defragged, used ccleaner and eusing regestry cleaner.
updated gpu, cpu etc all drivers up to date.

What is causing that black screen? never happened before.
I read somewhere that is a account error. When making a new local acount it should fix it.
And if that is the case, if i make a new one do i have to reinstall all my games on that account? i only want to have one account.

    Thanks for your time,

Btw dont know if this is the right part to post

You're in as good a place as any.
did this happen after an MS Update?
I had an update completely trash my OS and I had to reinstall it, from a Ghost Backup Image.

You should always make backups of your OS while it's working right, then you have something to go back to when it's NOT working right. WE've been saying that for over two years on this forum.

    good luck,

Here are some suggestions / recommendations. Might see if they help. Also, see if Event Logs offer any insight.

    1. Stop using anything that messes w/ the Registry
    2. Think of the date when or before it started this behavior & do a System Restore to that time.
    3. > cmd as Admin & run sfc /scannow
    4. > cmd as Admin & run DSK CHK
    5. Run Malwarebytes

    1st 2 questions:
    Are you using Windows Defender?
    Is anything running @ Startup?
    Aside from that..

You could do a Refresh. There are 2 types. One way, data remains intact. Another, you must save data 1st as, it will be lost, otherwise.

These things, including Sys Restore, can take a while. Patience is a virtue w/ this work. Trust me, I know, 1st-hand. "Please wait"

    Cheers,

No i dont use windows defender, If i search for windows defender and open that it says it is disabled.
In my startup "Taskmanager startup" I see 11 itims and 3 of then are enabled. When i check if it's slowing down startup it says "Normal". Persistece Module Intel Corporation, hkcmd Module Intel Corporation, igfxTrax Module Inte Corporation. Those are the only one enabled.

Ill see if i have some time but i probably wont use that again.

    Thanks for your effort

Ok, that is a bit helpful, getting those answers.

    Have nothing running @ Startup.

IF you are not using WD, whatever other 3rd party you are running may have a lot to do w/ your slow booting. Especially if it is Norton. Norton is very resource demanding.

I recommend, disabling everything @ Startup & switching the A-V to WD. Things may well be improved, after that.

    Cheers,
