Default Mozilla puts Firefox for Windows 8 on hold indefinitely

Windows 8 made a popular web browser (touch version) unpopular. Metro isn't really just gonna work.

"After two years of development, Mozilla has just announced that it has decided to stop development of the version of its Firefox web browser made for the Modern UI of Windows 8."

Personally I think that's a big mistake on their part. However, I do understand the why's about doing so. I never knew there was an Alpha or Beta for windows 8 metro or I surely would have been using it.

I agree Bass. They should have not joined the bandwagon. After all, most Windows 8 users are always on the desktop environment. Google Chrome is an exception as they have their own Chrome OS going which Microsoft right now is trying to copy with their FREE Windows 8 with Bing in development. And Microsoft is somehow blocking the Chrome on Metro.

I went and downloaded the beta (vs 28) just to try out the metro browser....it's a bit awkward to say the least.

I've heard about it before but I just try to avoid the metro as much as possible. It's not for me.
