I'm right here waiting for your timely help. This morning I came across a troublesome problem that I can not solve it by myself. I hope you can give a hand. My laptop is newly installed with windows 8 operating system, so I used some antivirus software to clean my computer. And the software discovered a virus and cleaned it. But after the cleaning, there was no sound when I played music.

Any syggestions?

i'm not sure whether the sound disappearing in Windows 8 is caused by the cleanning of your antivirus software. In fact, the deep problem is the the virus damaged your computer.

Maybe your sound card have encountered some problem.
