I have not found a single app that works on Win 7 that won't work on Win 8. Now obviously I have not tried all apps. That said you should not have any problems.

Hey, Ducauy. Like Medico said most of apps can be compatible with Windows 8 if they can be compatible with Windows 7. So actually you dont have to worry about whether the apps can be comaptible with your widnows 8 or not, just try it!

Ducauy, most windows 7 programs are compitable with Windows 8, but we cant say all apps work. There is a possiblity that windows 7 apps do not work properly.

Duc,

Expect what works on 7 to work on 8. You may find an exception but, odds are not good.

As far as I know, all windows version including Windows 8 are downward compatibility. So, if the app or software can be compatible with Windows 7, it will also be compatible with Windows 8. I hope my answer will help you. Good luck.

Do not forget about Compatibility Mode. Before saying something does not work on 8, try using Compatibility Mode. Not only for programs & software but, also, for web sites. Many site oft do not keep pace w/ new Operating Systems or Browsers. Always hit the Compatibility Mode icon when encountering a site that doesn't load or work fully & properly, 1st thing; often this is all it needs.

But, besides that basically what works on 7 will work on 8, the compatibility list for both H/W & S/W with Windows 8 is huge.

Cheers,
Drew

In most cases, apps or software that can be used on Windows 7 and other Windows versions can also be used on Windows 8, so you dont have to worry about whether the apps can be used on your Windows 8 or not. At least until now, I haven't found a apps that can be used on Windows 7 but cant be used on Windows 8.
