I follow the tutorial to create a hotspot with your windows 8 laptop. There is always a sentence:

Then, select "Network and Sharing Center", under that select "Change Adapter Settings". You can see Microsoft Virtual Wi-Fi Miniport Adapter and Local Area Connection.

But i can't see this adapter. How can I add or create it? Thanks.

Do you have a WiFi adapter on the laptop? Is your network switch turned on? Some laptops have a switch on the front of the PC, others have a S/W switch.,

Almost all PCs, came after 2009 have new capable wireless adapters, and Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapter; you must install latest device drivers from vendor’s website.

Windows Update doesn't help!
