Hello,

I have no idea where this extended Player Fatal Error message came from. I do not play games on my laptop, but my wife does under her user ID. We are both getting this error message under our seperate ID's. We do not recall deleting any programs, but when I try to install Extended Player it keeps telling me that I am missing a critical file. I have tried using the Microsoft Cleanup Utility, but Extended Player does not show up on the list. I don't know where to go to from here.

Can I get some help please?

Have you uninstalled any games recently? This appears to be a component of some free games, some of which add a malware component. A Google search (http://www.google.com/search?q=extended+Player+Fatal+Error+win+8&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US:IE-Address&ie=&oe=) of this error yields mixed results.

I would suggest that you check and uninstall if you have any the extended player program installed on the computer using the control panel.
