I am thinking of buying a pc for gaming or I am thinking of buying the surface as a mobile device and to play small games like mInecraft on. I don't know if they would be able to run it.

Know one can answer that question yet. When the first Surface is released it will only run Win RT, which is for Metro style apps. This may not run these games well. When Surface Pro is released several months later, it is rumored to be able to run the entire Win 8 Pro OS. This includes both the Metro UI and the Desktop UI.

Not sure. As Ted said, the first Surface will only run Win RT, which is for Metro style app. If Minecraft is available in a Metro version, then it might work in Surface, maybe.

Nice, I want to get one surface too, but the thing is.. Buy one today, next week there will be surface #2..

First, there is no Surface available yet. The surface RT is expected the same time as Win 8 on Oct. 26th. The more powerful Surface Pro is expected 3 or 4 months later.
