I alway shut down the monitor if I will leave the keyboard. But I found, it takes 1-2 mins to wake up when I am back, very slowly. Is it normal?

I am surprised your company allowed you to install a beta OS on their PC.

My suggestion would be to Custom (Clean) install the newer beta OS, Win 8 RP (http://www.forumswindows8.com/installation-setup/steps-install-win-8-rp-when-released-read-before-you-download-iso-file-6411.htm).

Why fight with an old OUT OF DATE OS, when a newer and better version has been available since June 1. ???

Oh, by the way, many computers don't handle 'Sleep' or "Hibernate" very well. That's why I discourage anyone/everyone from using it.
There have been literally thousands of posts to the internet forums about PC's that went to sleep and never woke up.

Like any other appliance, a PC should have just two states..... ON and OFF.
