Hi all,

I am running windows 8 release preview. I am trying to install graphics driver software - SiS VGA Utilities. It installed successfully and I rebooted the computer. After reboot, problem comes. I can not go to metro screen. After typing my password, it did not go to metro screen and my screen just kept on blinking. If I start an application as administrator, it doesn't show anything, just black screen and just kept on blinking.

so after waiting for like 30 minutes, i have figured out that it will just keep on doing it, so i typed ctrl-alt-del, my screen took me to desktop and opened the task manager, and the blinking stopped, but when I try to access the charms on the right corner of my screen, it started to blink again, then, I did the ctrl-alt-delete again just for it to take me to desktop.

Any suggestion?

Well first I would roll back that driver and see if this problem is solved.

If your setup works OK with the default drivers, you might wish to wait until Win 8 is released.

If rolling back the driver does not work, you could try a Refresh install or a complete reinstall.

Its likely a graphics driver issue. Since you have already installed the latest driver available for the graphics adapter, the best you can do is simply wait until an updated Windows 8 native driver is available.
