I am on windows 8 release preview.

The messenger app never works. It always says I am either not logged in which I am, or today it just says connection lost.

Can anyone help me? Thank you very much!

The Metro apps are not finished. After all this is a beta OS. Your problem could be related to this.

Have you fixed this? If have not, you might try to un-install the app and re-install. You may also Refresh and Reset your PC to start over if the issue persist.
