I want to see 128 bit CPU's, & there be only the choice of 64 or 128 bit CPU's, 32 bit is old, as 16 bit turned out to be. 32 bit OS's has outlived their usefulness.

Being that many computers ships with 6 to 8 GB RAM, with 8GB being the current dual channel "sweet spot", up from 4GB in 2009, it makes since to cut the ties with 32 bit computing with Windows 9, it's obviously too late with Windows 8.

Bring the 128 bit CPU's on!

On the last comment.....they already do. They're called "Main Frames".

128 bit computers are in everyday use around the world and even larger ones are being used by our Government.

But yes, that would be a bit much for a home user, unless he wanted to compute the value of pi, or the distance to Andromeda, in inches.

My first computer was just an 8 bit machine. My next computer was a 16 bit machine.

I now run a 64 bit PC, with a dual core CPU and a 5200+ effective clock speed. To just say it runs like a scalded cat, would almost be an insult. I'll never need anything faster in the short time I have left.
