Looks like SEO is keeping tabs on us. After all, for a lot of us, the Internet is just as much as a life staple as electricity & water.

Most everything that one needs (except food, water & medicine), is right at our fingertips. That is funny, though, but probably true.

Is this just a bunch of legal slang for "spyware", to keep it simple? Tracking users browsing & shopping habits in order to deliver more ads of the same type.

If this is so, it's probably why adblockers are becoming more popular, as well as IE & Firefox having "Do Not Track" options in the browser settings.

Yes, I'm positive that SEO makes lots of cash, but it's how it does it that concerns me. Planting spyware on users computers isn't quite fair game. This allows the SEO to deliver ads (some of which may contain a malware infested payload) tailored to the consumer's interests.

And virtually anyone can buy these customer lists, they're for sale for marketing purposes. Its not quite as safe as the old "junk mail" that used to flood our mailboxes. At least we knew w/o opening what it was. With SEO, the marketer can be slick with the sales pitch & infect thousands of computers at once.

But by practicing safe computing, including trashing any unsolicited emails, this can be avoided. It's as simple as that,

For a website owner, SEO is just a tool to get stable traffic. However, there are many other ways available to get traffic. For a sucessful webmaster, we should not only know SEO, we should also know many other promotion methods.

Funny, but definitely true! SEO is an important aspect for website owners because they want to appear on the first page of the search engines by using specific keywords related to their niche. Good SERP would mean better traffic, and good traffic means better opportunity for sales conversion.
