Hello everyone,
When the installation screen asked me if I wanted to check for updates now or wait, I clicked now. However it's been stuck at "Checking for updates" for a good 30 minutes and won't it continue. Also it isn't frozen the spinner is still going and it DOES NOT say "Not responding" it just wont move on.
What can I do?

Start the installation again and choose do not check for updates on the original install. You can check after you get things working. This might be a WiFi connection problem or something else. Get the OS working first, then start working on the problems encountered. After all this is an unfinished beta OS, not a released OS. There is obviously something wrong with your setup.
