CCleaner has been updated to version 3.20.1750 today. This release includes:

•Added Windows Explorer Context Menu management to Startup tool.
•Added Windows 8 Release Preview compatibility.
•Added Opera 12 support.
•Updated History cleaning for Aurora.
•Updated History cleaning for Chrome Canary.
•Improved UAC bypass code.
•Improved accuracy for uninstall items installation date and size.
•Improved Scheduled Tasks detection.
•Improved cleaning algorithm duplication detection.
•Improved file and setting removal when uninstalling.
•Minor bug fixes.

Version 3.20 of CCleaner has been released! We've packed this update with new compatibility with Windows 8, the new Opera 12 and a Context Menu manager for Windows Explorer to disable any annoying menu items you don't need. See official release notes here.

Owners of CCleaner Professional can use the automatic update feature from Piriform to download and install the update automatically.
I can always tell when clients have not been diligent in using CCleaner cus, they won't be on the most current version.

Don't think of CCleaner like a yearly doctor visit... more like brushing your teeth... it's regular maintenance.

But, People, IF, you use CCleaner on a regular basis (Read, daily) you will, of course, be notified by CCleaner itself when new versions come available. Right, People? (Hint, hint ;) )

And remember, Folks, uncheck the Jump List item in CCleaner

Cheers,
Drew

Thanks for the reminder, Drew. Although CCleaner is set by default to notify updates, some users unchecks the option, or simply ignores the update.

Every new version of CCleaner, offers new features & gets better with each release. And CCleaner, properly used, is probably the best tool of it's kind. Does many things, the most obvious of which is getting the unneeded junk (or Crap) out of your OS. I've seen some computers bogged down with well over 1GB of this type of mess, one had 2GB.

I use the app nightly before shutdown.

Or they simply do not use it on a regular basis, ego, they don't see the notice of a new version.

Current/new version is a bit of a moot point if someone isn't bothering to use CCleaner properly, ie all the time, in the 1st place.

Don't be lax or forgetful, Folks. CCleaner is your friend :)

Hmmmm, the Piriform site is down this early morning. Got it from FileHippo.com

File Hippo has a lot of excellent, everyday essential software, most is free. The other Piriform apps, Recuva, Speccy, & Defraggler is available on the site also.

I use the Update Checker regularly both in Win 7 and Win 8 RP.

So do I, Ted. File Hippo's Update Checker is a neat little utility to obtain new versions to many commonly used apps. Such as Flash (IE & non-IE), though Win 8 RP doesn't need this, Java, Adobe/Foxit Reader, ImgBurn & many others.

It only takes a minute or so to run & can be enabled to run at startup, if desired. Get File Hippo Update checker here:
