Do you thing the Libraries are a waste of time and space, or just confusing to you. If you do not use the Library feature and wish to disable it read on.

"I would also recommend removing Libraries (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/21462/how-to-enable-or-disable-the-libraries-feature-in-windows-7/) from your system if you do not actively use it.
I have libraries disabled and have not run into this behavior, ...yet.

The rational for this being that, supposedly, libraries too are needing to maintain their respective directory hard links, maybe competing with explorer's ability to refresh."

Thanks to Clint in another Forum for this tip. Works in Win 7 and Win 8 RP.

Some people like the libraries, and if so, leave them alone. Some people hate the libraries. This method helps them as well. I am testing my Win 8 RP with the libraries disabled to see how well this works. I'll post back when I can.

Update: After using this change for a while I found that IE and LastPass were acting strangely. I am not sure how or why this would happen, but it did. So I reverted back to using the Libraries, reinstalled LastPass. So far so good. Use this change at your own risk. It may have some untoward side affects.

note: a second side affect, I could not change the picture password, weird. Ability came back once I put libraries back to normal.
