Hi all,
This windows 8 tutorial is for those users who have problem to open and close word documents. If you find that opening and closing word document got slowly, you can try this tutorial.
The fix is to attach a different template for the document(s) in question. The convoluted method: Click Office button | Word Options | Add-Ins category. In the Manage box, choose "Templates," and click Go. To attach the Normal template, it suffices to type Normal in the "Document template" box. Then click OK.
A quicker method is to first add the Document Template command to the Quick Access Toolbar (via Office button | Word Options | Customize category).
