Hi all,

I am running windows 8 RP. But there is a problem. Windows explorer always crashes constantly if:

- I start it with Win+E

- I start it from task bar icon

I can start explorer if I right click explorer item and select any of the "Frequent" items or if I have shortcut on my desktop. However, explorer crashes each time I right click any file or folder.

How about your opinions?

This definitely sounds like an installation corruption. I would start over using this procedure (http://www.forumswindows8.com/installation-setup/steps-install-win-8-rp-when-released-read-before-you-download-iso-file-6411.htm). I would start by downloading the ISO file again using a good Internet Download Manager (http://internet-download-manager.soft32.com/free-download?gclid=CKX-pJWyyLACFUOo4Aod6D5sXA) to ensure the downloaded file is not corrupt, then burn to a new DVD and reinstall from this.

Hi Ducauy. Welcome to our forum. That might be caused by context menu handlers. You can click the link below to find a fix.

If this does not fix the problem, then a Reset or reinstall is the answer.
