Windows 8 CP.

I can not reinstall office2007. I had backed it up to another drive to reformat the drive that it was original on now I can not reinstall it. I have misplaced my disk, but have the product key. Do I need a copy of a previous Office program on the drive before trying to reinstall this back up copy?

Any suggestion?

You might be able to download the ISO file (trial version) from MS Office, then during the installation enter your product key to activate. You will most likely have to burn the ISO file to DVD prior to the install. In Win 7 and Win 8 simply right click the ISO file and choose Burn Disk Image.

I downloaded the OS file from microsoft website, burnt to DVD, and activated it during installation, too. Before I upgrade to windows 8, office is ok.

Glad that worked for you. Something I missed in your original post, you are still using Win 8 CP. There is an updated beta version that has been released.
