I enjoy geeking away and just talking about platforms, especially now Windows 8.

Is this a good forum for such, or should every thread here be about really specific subjects, i.e. not just something like "which Windows 8 feature do you look to use in what way" types of threads?

Also, are discussions about Windows Server 2012 features on-topic here?

It will most likely be a day or 2 before you know every moderator here.

You will find a variety of topics discussed, from very specific topics to very diversified topics. It is always a good idea to see if there might be a category where a particular topic fits better, or perhaps look at the possibility of starting a new thread if your discussion will be somewhat off topic and deserves to have a thread of it's own. Having a new thread with a title that reflects the discussion point will get more exposure than hiding in an established thread.

We have been very liberal so far in allowing discussions to veer off topic, but I suspect as time goes on, and we start getting busier, this will be allowed less often. You might see your post moved to it's own thread in the same or even different category by a Moderator. It is our job to try to add to discussions, but also keep discussions as much on topic as possible, and to keep things clean and family orientated.

Would you mind expounding on the parts of the Metro UI you like, and why. Perhaps some examples.
