I installed windows 8 Consumer Preview on VHD. I am trying to make a backup with control panel - all control panel items - windows 7 file recovery, and it says backup errors with this message:

Any help would be apprecaited.

Make sure the VSS service is started.

Press Windows Key + R, type services.msc and hit enter.

Right click on VSS Services and click on Start.

Hope that works.
