Hi all,

Let me explain the issue detailly.

I installed windows 8 consumer preview. The whole installation process goes quite well. After installtion, I restart once. Everything is good. I am able to access internet, browser websites, login MSN...Sound perfect. But after few driver installations, i cant open websites, Google Chrome or IE is unable to surf the internet. However, the computer shows me that it is connected to the network access point with internet access, however my browser.

How can i know which driver I installed caused this issue? Is there any solution for this? Thank you.

Hans, have you ran the network troubleshooter on Win 8 CP? Go to the Control Panel, select Network & Sharing Center, then Identify & repair network problems. I had to run this tool on my first install of 8 CP, most everytime I rebooted.

Turned out to be a firewall, rather than a driver issue. Avast IS 7 was supposed to be compatible with Win 8 CP, it was more of a beta than the OS was. Needless to say, I demanded a refund & got it within a couple of days. The main reason that I chose Avast IS 7 was for it's "SafeZone" browser, knowing that if Win 8 CP were good, I would be using the OS to check emails & make purchases. And it's prior versions were excellent, it was my choice of security for 7 years (2002-2009).

So if you have any other firewall installed instead of the Windows default, that's worth a peek at also.
