I am running windows 8.

I have acquired new sound card and i have installed the driver, but the "speeker icon" keeps saying "audio service is not running". i tried to go to the service.msc to start the windows audio. i got the Error 1297:a privilege that the service requires to function properly does not exist in the service account configuration. you may use the service microsoft manigment console (MMC) snap-in (services.msc) and the local security settings MMC snap-in (secpol.msc) to view the service configuration and the account configuration".

So how do i fix this?

Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
