This is all well & good, but it's my hope that MS isn't going to adapt to Apple's style of doing business. With Windows 8, it's probably not going to be a big deal, but with each subsequent version, expect to pay more for working apps. I hope that it doesn't turn out that way, but don't be surprised if it does.
Windows 8 is going to be the testing ground for a much larger platform, just as Vista was to Windows 7. Many users seen that one coming also. The good thing is, Windows 8 will be a far better OS than Vista was, time will tell if it's as good or better than Windows 7. And if it's good as iMacs & iPads are. It's my hope that the Windows 8 Metro platform will be a very popular one, because it really does have a lot of potential.
