I am using windows 8 consumer preview (build 8250). Currently everything is ok except the keyboard. I am not sure if there is something wrong with OS or my keyboard. The keyboard is not stable. When I type something, the cursor jumps erratically sometimes as I type.

Windows 8 consumer preview, and HP laptop with an AMD processor.

This is a problem that has been reported. We are hoping the problem is solved when Win 8 RP is released in early June. Win 8 RP will require a clean install so be prepared for it.

Laptop? You didn't say!

If it's truly a laptop, the touch-pad is maybe set TOO Sensitive. If you're "Pounding" on your keyboard, you're also shaking the Touchpad and it will respond accordingly.

Type more gently, or disable the keypad all together and use an external mouse.
That would be my own fix for that problem.
