Hi,

I played in the Guild Wars 2 beta a few days ago. This game is really wonderful, but my computer had massive lag the entire time. I'm afraid that when the actual game is release that it will just lag even worse.

Are there any options I can use that would increase the speed of my laptop? Thanks.

What are the minimum system requirements for Guild Wars 2?
Our goal with Guild Wars 2 is to have it run on a wide range of Windows gaming PCs.

Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or better • Intel® Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon 64 X2, or better • 2 GB RAM • NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI X1800, Intel HD 3000, or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better) • 25 GB available HDD space • Broadband Internet connection • Keyboard and mouse

Note: Due to potential changes, system requirements may change over time and you may be required to upgrade your current system (or obtain a new system) to continue to play the game.

I don't really know about the games, as I'm not a gamer. But to answer your question as to increasing speed, filling your RAM slots with the maximum amount will help a lot. Many computers can hold more RAM than is installed at the factory.

Crucial has a tool to help determine just how much RAM your computer will hold, as well as type & speed (write these things down) and there's no obligation to buy.

Use the Crucial System Scanner software to find out what type of memory is in your computer (http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/)

For best results, run this with IE. There's also a downloadable local scanner on the site. Once you know what RAM that you can use, order from Newegg.com. They have many promos & have many of the same exact models that Crucial offers. Make note of the part number that Crucial suggests.
