Recently I have installed windows 8 Beta and when playing video files in Media Player or Media Center they will hang up periodically a few secs / mins then continue again.
In the meanwhile, other applications also freezed periodicaly for a few seconds and then return to working order again, but now as much as the videos.

As a newbie. I do not know what's with my laptop. Does any one know how to resolve this problem?

Perhaps your video driver needs to be rolled back.
