Have you read any of our posts? Never replace a released OS with a beta OS. First there is NO good upgrade path from Win 7 to beta Win 8 CP. Second, Win 8 CP is a TIME LIMITED BETA OS. Win 8 RP is due to be released in early June. This is the next TIME LIMITED BETA OS of Win 8. The actual release date of Win 8 final release is not expected until sometime in October. The actual date or cost is not yet known.

The required specs are listed in these forums. When you read the forums for our recommendations you will see the specs listed as well.

To repeat, DO NOT ATTEMPT AN UPGRADE TO WIN 8 CP FROM WIN 7!

Also there are many excellent suggestions on how to install Win 8 CP to test it while keeping your present OS intact.
