Have tried many times to delete some mkv files from one of my flash drives, but it keeps telling me "The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found. (Error code -35)"

If there is nothing else on the drive, try formatting the drive (Move everything else off the drive, format, then move things back on the drive you wish to save)

Better do format your flash drive.

NEVER, trust important data to just one flash drive. It's pretty common knowledge that Flash Drives FAIL.
Since I first started using Flash drives, several years ago, I've had to toss several of them, in the garbage.

And unlike the old floppy disk, when a flash drive dies, you can't just reformat it and use it again. Dead is Dead!

Are you absolutely sure it was error 35? Because I just Googled that error code and there was none. I did see an error code 36.
