Hey so i setup a microsoft account thingy today so i can login on different windows 8 machines and sync all my things. Now i've restarted and its asking for my password for my live account which i enter but it says its incorrect. Now somewhere i read theres a bug where if your password is longer than 16 chars it doesnt work, well mine is bang on 16 :/ So im just wondering if there is any way that i can login with my local account from the login screen as i cant seem to find an option, thanks in advance

I believe you have to have either a local account or an online account, but not both for the same PC. You can change the account type if you wish. But you cannot choose whether to log onto a local or live account at log on time.

I am unsure why the 16 character limit is not acceptable unless there are unacceptable characters in the password. Is there any way you could change your password to say 15 characters to get past this problem?
