Hi all,

I always see many users of windows 8 are asking why its a fish on the start screen when they start windows 8 CP. Thats a really interesting question and the answer is really intereting, too. This fish is not common fish, and its named Betta fish. So you much guess why microsot chooses this fish, dont you? Yes, it simply signifies that this is a beta version of Windows 8. :)

Thats the Betta fish.

But, it's not even a real Fish. It's an origami (paper) fish. So besides being a Beta, it's also not real, just like Win-8.

Which a lot of folks will find out, sooner than later.

It's there right now- love or hate it.

It doesn't really matter to me, as I only see it for a second or two, tops at startup. I changed the screen that shows it longer to another.

The fish above looks a lot better than the animated one on our computers, it looks like something that a second grader drew up. Wonder why MS didn't go with that one instead?
