Hi all,

I installed windows 8 yesterday and up to now, everything works greatly except the sound. When I play music or watch a vidos, I can hear the sound. But I am getting a consistent crackling noise from speakers anytime I try to play the music or watching a video, using either Pandora, YouTube, or Windows Media Player.

I am running VIA HD Audio Deck with Windows reporting as having the latest drivers.

Any suggestions?

Try to reinstall the sound driver.

It seems various drivers are the least supported portions of Win 8 CP so far, and the most complaints so far. The Win 8 RP is due in early June (will require a Clean Install by the way) Perhaps this release will have some of these minor problems fixed.
