I have dual-booting system with windows 7 and windows 8. Everything is ok on windows 7. Windows 8 has a problem. Full screen video flickers between washed out and regular black levels every 3 seconds. I installed windows 8 about 1 week ago and this problem appeared two days ago and only happens during full-screen video, whether that be online or in my offline video player.
So whats the problem?

Hard to say. This could be one of those video bugs that has not been fixed yet because no one has bothered to develop new drivers for Win 8 CP yet. Most of the manufacturer's are waiting to see what the final code for Win 8 will look like before committing a lot of time to developing Win 8 specific drivers. Have you tried to install the Win 7 specific drivers to see if these work?

Hi Jessie,
More info about your video card?

It won't make much difference, since there are NO Win-8 drivers for ANY video card.
MS has given us a set of Generic drivers that will work, to some extent, with most video cards.
My NVidea card on XP has many different screen resolutions that I can use....however, on Win-8 there is just ONE (1).
So do the best you can with what you've got now, and see what the future brings, when MS finally releases Windows 8, sometime in October.
Of course, you won't get a free copy of that....you'll have to buy it.
Then, and only then, will we really know what works and what don't.
Cheers Mate!
