I am facing another app poblem. I am sorry that I should say it in my thread of music app problem.
When I click weather app, it shows a preview screen. Click it, nothing happens.

Sorry, my weather app seems to be working as expected.

Could be a corruption. Who knows.

362Mine seems to be working alright too, although mine's a simple app. Some users wants more detail, I prefer to keep it simple.

I believe the OP was discussing the Metro Weather app. I originally set mine up, then forgot about it. I never see it except during that 1% of the time I happen to slip into Metro for something.
threeone, I wonder if a refresh would solve your problem. Was the app working properly initially and quit or has it never worked?

I was going to setup that on my desktop, but being that 99.99% of the time that I'm on my PC, I'm viewing web pages or conducting business, didn't see the need for it.
I should probably do it just for having the experience of it, though.

Weather APP is working fine for me  IF, it starts bringing any rain, instead of sunshine will have to report the 'bug' to Microsoft & let them know the Weather APP is broken!!

Hi,(excuse me for my bad English)
I have the same problems whit another’s app into the initial w8 start menu (metro menu)
I believe that problem is way this app connect by Internet, in my case when the connection is Wi-Fi all function ok, but whit the connections it’s a mobile service (modem 3G) the app.(weather, financial, etc.) search a Wi-Fi connection for default and don’t connecting; it’s possible change this?
tks.

I believe that would probably be something in your network setup rather than in Win 8 I would think. Unfortunately I am not a network expert.
Weather APP is working fine for me

It's working fine for me also. At first, I shied away from the Metro Apps, but here lately, I'm using them. The Weather App works fine for me, and is fairly accurate. Just as good as what the local weather lady on TV predicts.

It's fine, here, too. Always has been. Oh, & I did eventually find how to make it Celcius.
I found a free Pinball game in Microsoft's offerings. Keeps me frustrated & bored for hours, lol.
Other than that... Start? What's that, lol? Oh, that would be the Applications folder on the Taskbar (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean)

Some apps cant not support all regions in the world, such as weather app. Where are you from?

Also, check in the Device Manager to make sure that the Windows Location Provider is installed (w/o the warning symbol). This is needed to provide local apps, such as the Weather one.
