Have you optimized your screen resolution for Win-8?
It sounds like your picture is too big to fit on your screen.
But it's hard to diagnose for anyone who's not there.
I use Firefox myself, ver 11, and I've had ZERO problems with it.
Good Luck and Welcome to the forum,

Have you tried going to 1920x1200 (if your monitor supports it)?
The NVIDIA driver that was installed on Windows 8 CP on my notebook worked fine. Windows 8 CP has, just was Windows 7 does, a hardware troubleshooter. You can run that, and see if there are any fixes that needs to be applied, it will fix any issues automatically.

The Resolution window will show what value is (Recommended)… whatever it is, use it.
Mine's @ 1920x1200 & ironically enough, that's the (Recommended)
My FF on W8 x64 is, also, v11.0 & works perfectly. Now, that I think about it... it's v11.0 on my W7 x64 & works perfectly there, too.

Have you tried the suggested resolution? Any chance you might have somehow gotten to a beta Metro FF browser? I understand they are developing some such thing.

I think that if I could sit down to that PC, like I do with my own customers, I could fix that.
But without eyes on and hand on the problem, and with only that tiny little picture to go by,
no chance!

I believe the thing to do would be to uninstall Firefox (make sure to backup your bookmarks, preferably to a folder in your Data partition), and reinstall it. The current version is 11.0, although there are beta versions of 12.
Firefox 11.0 can be downloaded from here for free:
Download Firefox 11.0 - FileHippo.com (http://www.filehippo.com/download_firefox/11868/)
I used to install the latest betas of FF, but being that Windows 8 CP is a beta OS, it's best to have a stable release browser installed, if one isn't going to use IE10 that's included with the OS.
Best of Luck,

Glad to see it's fixed, Lt.Fry! I figured an uninstall & subsequent reinstall would fix the issue.
That seems to happen from time to time when installing software. The reasons vary, but the two most common ones are corrupted downloads & AV/IS suites (or possible malware) blocking the install.
Corruption tends to happen more with larger downloads, but can with small ones also.
Best of Luck,
Cat
