Windows 8 compatibility mode is easy to find, please follow the instruction as bellow, you will get Windows 8 compatibility mode:

1, right click the exe file that you wanna run under other mode, simply choose "Properties"

2, click "compatibility" on the popup windows tab.

3, active "Run this program in compatibility mode for", choose one, and click OK button.

I would love to be able to do this, but I can't even see the noncompatible files (from a complete installation of Office 2003, for instance). Any thoughts?

This subject is about Windows 8 compatibility mode., but i did not see the windows 8 option in your screenshot? i need more instructions.
