I used Win7 32bit and then Win8 32. I cannot seem to find the right display for Explorer and Firefox. On my Mac side I use 1280x960 (stretched). That is perfect for me. Depending on the web sites when I use the max resolution on Win8 only about 1/3 of the screen is full. Fonts and are also too tiny.

I have used the web for many years but I am basically a point and click guy and have no knowledge of inter workings. I can manage control panel but resetting the resolution doesn't seem to help.

I got it to work with IE but not Firefox. Apparently Firefox isn't Win8 ready at this date.

IE 10 in Windows 8 Customer Preview keeps working weird, so I have to set Chrome as my defaulted browser.

Since this is a beta OS there is no guarantee that all the features of Win 7 are present yet in Win 8 CP and in fact many are indeed missing. For this stage of development Win 8 CP is surprisingly smooth and complete, but is still lacking finishing touches, and that may very well be one of those finishing touches that is lacking. You might be out of luck.
