Hey everybody, I just installed Windows 8 and I have a Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000. The webcam has suddenly stopped working and won't even show up as plugged in. I checked all the drivers and they are all up to date. Except the one thing that seemed wrong was in the details, the usb camera part of the driver wasn't installed and my computer couldn't find it. Any suggestions?
Thanks In Advance.

You mean it was good after Windows 8 Consumer Preview installed, and it was bad during using it under Windows 8 Consumer Preview?
If so, try to connect that webcam to another computer which doesn't install Windows 8, see if it works. If it works, then it might be the problem of webcam driver and Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
If so, we are unable to deal with issue, until the manufacturer get that driver updated for Windows 8.
