I have tried everything to try and get the adapter "TP-Link WN821N Wifi USB Adapter" working but it just does'nt seem to get recognised? Come someone please help me out? I really want to get internet working on my desktop.

It seems this adapter has been having problems right along. Another thread (http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/149837-A-Start-Button-Theory-Advertising-Revenue) discussed the same problem. Until TP-Link releases new drivers you might be out of luck.

I had some updates hanging on Windows Update and I didn't know about them. So I have updated it and now a problem where the system was hanging after about half a hour is fixed and also the tp-link usb adapter is now working without tp-link drivers! :D

Glad the updates helped you. Until the final release on Friday, anything's possible.
