Hi there,

My laptop is just 2 months new and runs windows8, it crashed when removing the HDMI cable... totally not working... I had to pull the battery to get it restarted. Now unfortunately the HDMI output is no longer recognizing the TV unless there is a second VGA monitor connected.

Who can tell me how to fix my problem? I am waiting for your reply! Thank you in advance.

Hi people

I have recently bought a GTS 250 1GB and I already have a problem.

I put my monitor on VGA output and it works fine, but when I add my Samsung LCD TV on HDMI output the TV is not found. If I use an adapter DVI/HDMI to TV and VGA to the monitor, both work fine.

Does anyone know this problem?

Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks

I am having similer problems with an nvidia gt430 card .I think that the HDMI o/p takes priority over VGA. windows 8 will not display the start(logon menu) on my pc monitor with my tv pluged in,This was no big deal with Windows7 apart from boot up (blank screen on pc)it eventualy displays the desktop. You could try diferent options in the Nvidia control pannel.
I have contacted Sparkle about this and i am awaiting reply.

I have to unplug my tv if iwant go into my BIOS or use windows 8 or switch the tv HDMI and use that as my primary monitor.

check the cable and plugs and sockets. If need be try another HDMI cable.

all cables and conections are correct using HDMI 1.4a 5meters ITS the card (not a fault)iv`ve tried linux, dos, win7, 8.

p.s iv`e dropped win 8 its a crock of **** as i`ve said i can get around it but its anoying having to unplug the tv to see boot sequence. its an unforseen error with eiether Sparlke,Nvidia both of which can or can`t be bothhered to give me an answer.

best regards topper.

Since this is a beta OS there is no guarantee that all the features of Win 7 are present yet in Win 8 CP and in fact many are indeed missing. For this stage of development Win 8 CP is surprisingly smooth and complete, but is still lacking finishing touches, and that may very well be one of those finishing touches that is lacking. You might be out of luck.

I have the same exact problem... I have a 3d led tv and it was working fine as a monitor when i had win 7, xp installed on the same laptop... i just installed the consumer preview of win 8 and everything looks smooth but i cant seem to connect to the tv ... everytime i plug in the hdmi cable it shows a blank screen,,, i have a nvidia graphic card with latest driver ... which i tried un-installing and reinstalling already, also tried playing with settings in the control panel... wont work
