There are totally 5 computers (including laptop) in my local network. Most of them can find each other even can find my computer, but I can't find them all!

They are all using Windows XP, and mine is Windows 8. I know how to set network settings in Windows XP, but I don't know how to set nework in Windows 8. Anyone help?

I suggest that you enable Network Discovery. Click Start->Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center, click Change advanced sharing settings. Enable the option.

If the issue persists, try to access another computer by entering \\computername in the Start Search box. Let us know if it works properly.

Go to start>control panel--choose network to set the network on windows 8 operating system.
