Hi,
First, you'd better make sure you are using the administrator account to operate and install Daemon Tools on Windows 8, otherwise, no matter what you try, it is a failure. Then if you fail to install the Windows 8 Daemon Tools of a certain version, another one may do you a favor! So you can consider to change.

At present, deamon tools is only compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Daemon Tools installs the virtual occasions (you can create up to four pieces) that are recognized by the operating system and other utilities, like the real thing.
If you really want to install deamon tools on your pc, you'd better wait for a short time because windows 8 has just been released about one months so far.

Go and get latest Daemon Tools for Windows 8 here (http://www.filehippo.com/download_daemon_tools/)
Do notice the bit of Windows 8 that you are running. For example, if you are running Windows 8 64 bit, you must download 64 bit daemon tools, while Windows 8 128bit requires 128 bit daemon tools.
Adjust your adapter card in Windows 8 daemon tools settings.
