Hi there,

I have encountered a weirder thing in Windows 8 which has just been installed for two months. I have added some music folders in my third drive, now one of them is inaccessible after rebooting. It just says "You don't currently have permission to access this folder Click Continue to permanantly get access to this folder" and when I click continue it says You have been denied access to this folder.

As me being the same user/owner cannot access my own files. That's really has annoying me for quite a long time.

i really do hope someone can come up with a fix.

many thanks in advance.

Have you ever set the access permissions of the folder? Run the computer with the user accout which you used to create the music folder. If not, run your antivirus to remove the viruses that damage your folder.

Hi there,

Correct you need to ensure that the folder you are saving to is owned by you or that you have permissions to save to that folder.
